Silent Echo Kids introduces:

Children’s Improvisation Workshop, Fall 2019

Silent Echo Theater Company is excited to launch its new children’s program (Silent Echo Kids) with an improvisation workshop for students in grades 2 - 8.

What:

Students will explore the basics of improvisation and role playing, focusing on new ways to use their voice and body as they learn improv techniques. Even for those who have been on stage before, this fun class will enlighten and expand the student’s acting, listening and reacting skills.

The sessions are age-specific and will provide the student with direct experience and a deeper understanding of the art of improvisation.

A performance for parents, friends, and the community will be presented the weekend following the last class session.

When:

Each session is a two-week series of classes, held two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) after school. Session 1 starts October 1; Session 2 starts October 15; and Session 3 starts October 29.

Where:

Classes and performances will be held at Sisters Community Church, 1300 McKenzie Highway, in Sisters, Oregon.

Why:

Improv is a great way for kids to: learn to think on their feet; build confidence; boost creativity; make new friends; and have fun!
